INSTALLATION INFORMATION (GPLv3 §6) The device's operating-system software is Raspberry Pi OS (Debian) stored on a standard removable microSD card. The card's root partition is an unencrypted ext4 file system, and the device does not verify signatures of the system software it boots (no secure boot). That software can be modified or replaced from any computer: by editing the contents of the card's root partition, or by writing any system image to the card. No keys, passwords or authorisation from us are required for this. You are not given an account on the system installed on the device, and none is needed for the steps above; we do not hand out device credentials. The OptiEnergy application itself is proprietary, is stored separately in an encrypted area, and is not covered by this information. Devices running modified system software are not supported. Access to the OptiEnergy cloud service may be denied when the modification itself materially and adversely affects the operation of the network or violates the rules and protocols for communication across the network.
